With the Ski season fast approaching, see our guide on where to fly to reach the best resorts in the most expeditious way.
Sion – Located in the Swiss Alps, Sion airport offers easy access to Verbier and Zermatt with transfer times of 50minutes by car and 10minutes by helicopter. Due to its close proximity to the slopes, Sion is extremely busy in the winter and operates a slot system for aircraft, therefore its best to book early to avoid disappointment.
Chambery CMF – Situated at the western edge of the French Alps, Chambery offers easy access to Savoie Mont Blanc and the 3 Vallees ski areas. These include the resorts Charmonix, Courcheval, Tignes, Meribel, Val Thorens, La Plagne and Val D’Isere among others. Innsbruck – Located in the heart of the Alps and western Austria, Innsbruck offers a stunning valley approach and a location that offers access to Lech, St Anton and Zurs, Transfer time ranges from 1hr-1hr45 by car and 20-35 minutes by helicopter.
Samedan – Also known as Engadin, is located in the Swiss Valley of Engadin only 5km from the world famous resort of St Moritz. Due to the fact that there is only corporate aviation traffic, Samedan offers exclusivity and ease of access to the slopes.
